Football crazy!

As Wednesday was a national holiday, I decided to go and watch a second division J-league football match between Vissel Kobe and Kyoto Sanga with an expat friend of mine.  Originally from Australia, my friend has lived in Kobe since before the Great Hanshin Earthquake, and is a die-hard Kobe fan.

The weather was bad and Kobe's performance even worse - the former first division team lost 4-1 to the underdogs, Kyoto.  In my 12 or so years living in this country I've never before seen so many people venting their displeasure so passionately (at least on the mainland...).  Still, it was great to see so many people showing their emotions so openly!
